water-colour and cuttings on water-colour drawing-paper

Pietro Ruffo (Rome, 1978) graduated in Architecture in 2005, and entirely devoted his life to artistic activity. His education leads him to utilize drawing as a tecnique to cartographic investigation and mimetic representation of reality. During the last years, his interest for the big history themes and international politics, and for the ambient and the civilized landscape, took Ruffo’s investigation to even more complex results. ” Flag”, the big drawing flags were exposed on 2007 at MAXXI, (Roma) and the new series is presented at Center of Visual Art, Pescheria di Pesaro. Among the personal and collective exhibitions can be distinguished: Testori, London; Galleria Lorcan O’Neill, Rome; Rossi Archaeologic Museum, Ventimiglia; Center for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci, Prato; Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, Rome; York Art Gallery, London. On October 2009 he will present an individual exhibition curated by Laura Barreca for the project Critic in Art, that will take place in MAR, Ravenna.
